Developing your career at Re

With such a diverse workforce, we recognise that everyone has different needs, objectives and aspirations. We offer a variety of opportunities for employees to develop manual, technical, professional and personal skills throughout their career.

Apprenticeship and technician development

We have structured apprenticeship and technician training programmes to help people develop a career in the construction and built environment industries.

Graduate development

We help our graduates develop a breadth of experience by working on exciting projects alongside experienced colleagues. Our graduates are encouraged to achieve professional qualifications and we have a number of accredited training programmes in place to help them achieve this.

One example is BusinessWise, our graduate business skills programme that has been designed and delivered together with the University of Salford since 2008. It complements our graduates’ technical development by encouraging them to network across the company, acquire business acumen and achieve a postgraduate certificate qualification.

Technical development

We need talented managers and technical experts to make our business a success. Aspire is our internal mentoring programme which supports staff who wish to develop technically. We also have a strategic partnership with Excitech, to deliver our AutoCAD and BIM training needs to enhance the skills of our technicians and engineers.

Professional development

We are keen for our staff to achieve professional qualifications - it makes good business sense. It gives our clients the confidence that our staff are achieving and maintaining the highest professional standards. We work with a diverse range of professional bodies to reflect the nature of our business and support our staff with opportunities, mentoring and regular progress reviews.

The Capita Managers Academy equips our managers with the knowledge and skills to undertake their role effectively and support their staff to do the same.

Our Commercial Leadership Programme has been designed together with Northumbria University to help us to achieve a consistently high level of performance in our leaders.
